Over 1,000 attendees gathered this past Sunday October 19, 2014 to celebrate the last Quinceanera.com Expo of the year with a unique show featuring radio star Kelly Granados and La Voz kids finalist, Brian Torres.

San Diego is an area with a strong Hispanic background, and an area where quinceañera parties are experiencing surges in popularity, as evidenced by the more than 1,000 attendees at the Quinceanera.com Expo held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Marked by fashion shows with Aurora’s Bridal and Mitzy’s dresses, the occasion was presented by Kelly Granados, a radio celebrity from Tijuana and the popular La Invasora who made the event even more memorable for attendees as she connected with soon-to-be quinceañeras and their parents .

Also in charge of presenting the newest Quinceanera.com magazine cover girl for the San Diego edition, Ms. Granados introduced Brittny Colindres, winner of a $700 check provided by the sponsors, opened the fashion show in a spectacular Aurora’s Bridal gown.

From the Expo’s point of view, the entire event was a huge success that went off without a hitch. Agreeing with the success of the day, Nayra Garcia, a cosmetologist for House of Hair Addictions, was pleased with the overall “good organization” noting that, “It’s important to be in events like this to engage and attract more customers and future contacts.”

Speaking to the Quinceanera.com Expo’s increasing popularity in the San Diego area, Blanca Jose, from Camila’s Photography, remarked, “It’s great because we can reach out to many people, both North and South of San Diego. It’s a way to cover more territory.” It was also a positive experience for the attending families. Adamaris Sanchez, who is already 15 but planning to celebrate her event in a few months, expressed her excitement with her Fashion Show pass in hand, “This Expo is perfect to complete my party,” she said next to her mother. “I needed a DJ and I think I’ve already found it.”

The beat of one of the DJs, Off the Deck, livened up the main event, the fashion show by Mitzy and Aurora’s Bridal, featuring classic princess designs, but with an emphasis on blue, acqua and turquoise colors.

The event sponsors were Mitzy, Aurora’s Bridal, Friar Tux, El Clasificado, and EC Hispanic Media. In 2015 Quinceanera.com will travel to San Fernando Valley, Bakersfield, Los Angeles, Orange County, Ontario, San Diego in addition to two new territories, Fresno and Riverside.
