El Clasificado and EmpleosLatino.com helped job seekers meet employers, get résumé support, and learn about career resources.

A welcoming space for job seekers

LOS ANGELES, Calif., March 27, 2026El Clasificado and EmpleosLatino.com hosted a bilingual job fair at the Los Angeles City College WorkSource Center.

Hundreds of job seekers attended the event. They met with employers, spoke with workforce groups, and learned about career support services.

The event was designed to feel simple and welcoming. Attendees could ask questions in English or Spanish. They could also speak directly with hiring teams and learn about open positions.

For many people, that personal contact made a difference.

Support beyond job openings

The Los Angeles City College WorkSource Center offered free résumé printing and résumé reviews.

Attendees also learned about mock interviews, job-readiness support, and career coaching.

These services are valuable. However, many job seekers do not always know they exist.

That made the job fair more than a place to find job leads. It also became a place to learn, prepare, and take the next step.

Meeting a real need in Los Angeles

The strong turnout showed the continued need for in-person hiring events.

Attendees included adults, young job seekers, and students from nearby colleges. Some were looking for immediate work. Others were exploring new career paths.

At the same time, employers continue to look for ready workers.

With California reporting 588,000 job openings in December 2025, the need to connect employers with ready job seekers remains critical,” organizers said. “This event brought both sides together in one place, in a setting that felt accessible, inclusive, and community-driven.”

Reaching the Latino workforce

El Clasificado promoted the event through its print, digital, and social media platforms.

This helped bring the opportunity to Latino job seekers across Southern California.

Jobs have long been one of El Clasificado’s strongest categories. For that reason, the company created EmpleosLatino.com.

The platform helps Latino workers find job opportunities in a familiar and useful way.

Employers and organizations at the event

Several employers and organizations took part in the job fair.

They included the California Army National Guard, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Los Angeles Unified School District Early Childhood Education Human Resources, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Bristol Farms, MedTrans, and other groups.

Together, they offered job seekers a look at different fields and career options.

What employers said

Nayra de la Rocca, Director of Human Resources at MedTrans, said the event continues to help employers connect with new talent.

We have participated in El Clasificado and EmpleosLatino.com job fairs before, and they have consistently been an effective way to recruit new talent and strengthen our visibility in the Latino community of Southern California,” de la Rocca said.

MedTrans was one of the employers actively hiring at the event. The company was recruiting drivers who help patients travel to medical appointments and dialysis.

What attendees said

For attendees, the event offered more than job openings.

Besides job opportunities, I also learned about opportunities to study and prepare for other positions,” said Joseu Jimenez, a Los Angeles resident.

His comment reflected one of the larger benefits of the event. It gave people a chance to see what else may be possible.

A strong day for workforce partners

This was the best job fair we have ever had,” said Ada Zeladon, Case Manager and Job Developer for MCS Career Management.

She noted that more job seekers are actively looking for work. She also said many people still need help with résumés and workforce resources.

Creating real job connections

For El Clasificado and EmpleosLatino.com, the strong turnout reinforced the value of trusted community outreach.

The event helped meet job seekers where they are, both culturally and linguistically.

It also gave employers a direct way to connect with the Latino workforce in Southern California.

Most of all, it showed that local, bilingual hiring events still matter.
