Joe Badame is the co-founder and COO of El Clasificado and serves as the Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.
Before becoming COO in 2000, Joe was primarily responsible for the company’s accounting and finances and was instrumental in developing a distribution infrastructure that included as many as 25,000 distribution points throughout Southern and Central California. He was also critical in raising the necessary capital to fund the start-up operations of the company.
El Clasificado is now the largest Spanish-language weekly shopper in the nation, with circulation over 500,000, revenues in excess of $23 million and a state of the art website that ranks among the top 4,000 websites in the nation. The publication has been recognized as one of the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies, an ICIC Inner City 100 Hall of Famer for Fastest Growing Company, and Martha and Joe were honored in 2007 and 2013 as finalists for Ernst & Young’s Greater LA Area Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Prior to joining El Clasificado, Joe founded the JBR Group, a forensic accounting consulting practice whose operations he ran while he assisted with the development of El Clasificado.
Previous to his work with the JBR Group, Joe was a Certified Public Accountant and Audit Manager for the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young.
Joe is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
