As Su Socio de Negocios prepares for its third business breakfast of the year, over 200 eager Latino small business owners are already lining up to learn from author, entrepreneur, and lead meteorologist for Univision 34, Guillermo Quiroz.
After joining the number one Spanish station in the nation in 1999, Quiroz was in a path to success. That same year his television show “Primera edición” won the prestigious Emmy Award and in 2000 he was the winner of three Golden Mike Awards, Southern California’s most prestigious broadcast journalism recognition and received a nomination for the National Emmy Award for his role in the community campaign “Leer es poder” (Reading is power).
In addition to his work at Univision 34 in Los Angeles, Guillermo Quiroz is well known for his work as the host of the weather segments for affiliates of Univision Noticias in Sacramento, San Francisco, Fresno, Bakersfield, Phoenix, AZ, and Tucson, AZ.
Aside from his vast journalism experience, this native of Puebla, Mexico, conquered the Spanish-speaking market in Los Angeles for its continuous role in the community. Quiroz has earned awards from the City of Los Angeles and the School District and has been one of the key leaders running the Mexican Independence Parade in East Los Angeles.
