Su Socio de Negocios marks 20 years of helping Latino small businesses.
NORWALK, Calif., Oct. 22, 2026 — Latino business owners learned new ways to reach customers through video on October 21. Su Socio de Negocios hosted the free workshops in Spanish at El Clasificado’s Norwalk office.
With support from BMO, the event brought business owners together to learn and share ideas. It also formed part of the free Desayunos y Talleres breakfast series.
Learn How to Use Video to Reach Customers
First, Alexia de León, a social media marketing manager, shared ways to promote products and services through video. She also discussed how sponsored TV segments can help small businesses reach more people.
“They left with practical ideas and a fresh perspective on opportunities to grow their businesses,” said de León.
Next, Diana Viveros Aguilar, a specialist in strategic communications, helped business owners define their audience. She then showed them how to build a clear message for their videos.
Throughout the workshops, guests asked questions and shared their own experiences. They also discussed how to use these ideas in their daily work.
In addition, guests met other business owners over café de olla and pan dulce.
BMO’s Business Relationship Manager, Mersedes Guerrero, shared her thoughts on the event. She stressed the value of financial education, strong partnerships and trusted advice for business growth.
20 Years of Helping Latino Businesses
El Clasificado launched Su Socio de Negocios in 2006. Since then, the program has offered free business education in Spanish.
“Many small business owners face barriers to accessing professional resources,” said Martha de la Torre, CEO of El Clasificado.
To help meet that need, the program offers workshops on marketing, money, business law and new technology. It also hosts business expos where owners can find resources and make connections.
Next Free Workshop: Protect Your Business and Your Family
Next, Su Socio de Negocios will host “Protege tu negocio y tu familia” on Wednesday, November 18.
The free workshop runs from 7 to 10 a.m. at El Clasificado’s office, 11205 Imperial Highway, Norwalk.
Guests will learn about wills, trusts and estate planning. These tools can help owners plan for the future of their families and businesses. Breakfast is also free.
