Martha de la Torre will lead a panel on how to turn threats to your print media business into opportunities in the Hispanic Digital Marketplace

October 2 – Los Angeles, CA – Print media is loosing its relevance. It is a platform which suffers daily due to the growth and demand of the digital industry. Many renowned newspapers are facing financial concerns and may even soon disappear.

Martha de la Torre, president and co-founder of El Clasificado and EC Hispanic Media will be discussing this inevitable transition at the NAHP annual conference (National Association of Hispanic Publications) this coming Thursday October 3rd in the city of Anaheim. Accompanied by a team of specialists, De la Torre will lead a panel entitled “A to Z Print to Digital: Disruption, Destruction and Dollars”.

Rob Paterson, Erento.com’s President, will begin the discussion centered on what is important for the digital industry, besides exploring the possibilities of digital income for media companies and which technologies should be taken into consideration.

Stephan Hartl, Managing Consultant and Partner of Click Performance Group, a German company specialized on digital business will also be in attendance. Hartl will be in charge of discussing the best and worst existing tactics on “Google Adsense”, an advertising engine which translates into millions of dollars in income for small and medium businesses in the United States.

Elias Chavando, Vice-president of Vionic.com and creator of Reagan.com, will be closing the lecture focusing on the impact of social media and the importance of building a platform through Facebook and Twitter.

For De la Torre, this presentation means sharing her experience of transitioning from El Clasificado to a multimedia platform such as EC Hispanic Media. “It is an example of how one company can transform itself to create different channels that connect with advertisers and consumers”, she says.

For the Ecuadorian entrepreneur, “media companies with a print platform should be aware of print media eventually disappearing, which is why it is fundamental to offer other services, whether it is mobile, digital or through any other platform, in order to survive.”

The NAHP will take place at Hotel Disney’s Paradise in Anaheim from Wednesday October 2nd to Saturday October 5th, an event which makes the most important Spanish publications come together, highlighting the power of the Hispanic market which exceeds $850 billion in purchase power.
