NAHP awards El Clasificado with Best Circulation Program

Los Angeles, CA –April 30, 2008— The National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP) awarded El Clasificado and its Rock en español entertainment publication, Al Borde, a combined total of 10 Publishing Awards for Excellence.   El Clasificado’s renowned circulation program that currently manages 22 zones with an aggregate circulation of 325,000 delivered weekly to over 12,500 key distribution points into the greater Los Angeles Latino community, won First Place for Outstanding Circulation Program on April 19th at the NAHP’s 23rd Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

El Clasificado also won First Place for Outstanding Classified Section. El Clasificado is about connecting the local reader to the community for goods, services, and inspiring events.  “Effective local advertising is what everyone is talking about and we have been doing it for 20 years.  We have over 7,000 advertisers in print and online that target our 1,000,000 local weekly readers,” according to Martha de la Torre, CEO and founder of El Clasificado.

Al Borde, a Lifestyle publication covering the versatile Rock Alternativo music scene, acquired by El Clasificado in 2001, took home a whopping six awards, including Outstanding Entertainment Section, Outstanding Entertainment Article, and Best Design.
