On the local side, El Clasificado moved its East LA office in 2019 and merged its operations to its corporate office in Norwalk, Calif. Walk-in customers continue to be served in Norwalk, Bakersfield and San Bernardino. The company still has a feet-on-the-street sales force of over 30 representatives that gladly meet with customers face-to-face. Latino entrepreneurs have been quick to adopt mobile technology to conduct business and to meet demand El Clasificado has grown its call centers in the U.S. and Mexico to assist customers via phone, text and email throughout most of the day and evening.
“We were sad to close our East LA office where just 10 years ago we often had a line of customers out the door on Fridays trying to get their ads placed before deadline. Even so, we still are very present in East LA through our sales force and marketing team that actively participate in community events and frequently partner with the City of LA and East LA Chamber of Commerce” said Ignacio Lopez, Director of Sales. “Most of our employees grew up in East LA and will always have roots there. It’s just that our brick and mortar headquarters are now a few minutes away in Norwalk.”
