Los Angeles, CA- May 29, 2012- Hundreds gathered at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Hall on Sunday, May 20 to experience the Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show Los Angeles 2012. The interactive event encouraged young Quinceañeras and their families to explore diverse party-planning services all under one roof, most of which offered on-site promotions for Expo attendees.
“For the future expos I will have a larger space to display more cakes,” stated April Palomino, owner of April’s Cakes and returning Expo exhibitor. “Each time that I participate in this event I get so much clientele that for the remaining Expo dates I need to be ready for the attendees.” Other vendors included reception hall rentals, catering, dresses, makeup, limousines and more.
The show was kicked into gear with the coronation ceremony of Quinceanera.com Magazine’s 2012 Los Angeles cover girl, Shelbi Byrnes, who made her cover girl runway debut accompanied by Mariachi Alfaro de Guadalajara. “I’m very fortunate to be part of the Quinceanera.com Magazine family,” stated the reigning cover girl. “And very grateful for the $700 prize money which I will donate in part to one of the organizations that I support.”
The Expo’s highly-anticipated Quinceañera dress fashion show featured the design talent from emerging Quinceañera dress designer Raul Corona, as well as the ball gown options from Moda 2000 and Dulces Ocasiones, all of which presented dress options in the latest Quinceañera trends including bold colors and elaborate detail work.
In between fashion shows, Expo attendees were entertained with an exclusive Quinceañera Cruise giveaway presented by Carefree Vacations, “Be a model for a day” runway show sponsored by La Curacao, and a video teaser for “Beverly Hills Chihuaha 3”, whose cast will participate in a meet & greet and photo session with Expo attendees at the June 2012 Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show.
Another notable highlight of the event was the Expo’s emphasis in the importance of higher education, which was supported with a $1,000 scholarship and a pre-fashion show workshop for girls interested in pursuing a career in the fashion industry. The workshop and scholarship were courtesy of ScholarShare.
The main event raffles included a Raul Corona and Moda 200 Quinceañera dress as well as an Apple iPad courtesy of El Clasificado. The next Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show will take place on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort. Registration for the event is now open.
