Los Angeles, CA- April 4, 2012– Quinceañera party-planning brand Quinceanera.com along with its sister company El Clasificado, presented a festive show at the first Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show ever presented in the Central Valley. The Sunday, April 1, 2012 event was held at the Bakersfield Marriott Hotel at the Convention Center. The event was free and open to the public, and offered an exclusive VIP lounge where participants of the Bakersfield Quinceanera.com Magazine cover girl contest enjoyed appetizers, beverages, and dancing during the expo. “The show was the most fun Quince expo I have ever attended,” said Joecelyn Mendez, 14, from the city of Monrovia and one of the top three finalists for the Bakersfield cover girl contest. “Although I did not win the title, I felt part of Quinceanera.com because they’ve kept me in mind for photo shoots, invited me to a special dinner and help me plan my perfect Quince.”The winner of the cover girl contest: Angelina Rodriguez, 14, from the city of Bakersfield, was another highlight of the event as she was presented on stage as the first Bakersfield Quinceanera.com Magazine cover girl. “I entered without thinking of winning and here I am today. I am so honored to be part of this great event and to represent my city,” she stated on stage.

Aside from being given the choice between a Quinceañera dress or $700 cash prize, the reigning cover girl also kicked off the fashion show portion of the event, which included gowns from designer Raul Corona and retailer Moda 2000. For the fashion show, Corona presented his 2012 Glamour collection of bedazzled dresses and Moda 2000 offered dress options for alternative, modern, and traditional Quinceañeras.

During intermission and while guests were encouraged to continue visiting vendors, the venue was transformed into a dance hall with vendor representatives, staff members of the event and attendees dancing on the main stage, in the VIP Lounge, and in the walkway of the Expo. “This was the most fun Expo I have ever attended,” stated Lupita Lopez from the city of Bakersfield. “And I’ve been to many in preparation of my party!”

The show ended in that same celebratory fashion with the raffle of a Raul Corona and Moda 2000 Quinceañera dress courtesy of El Clasificado. Daisy Cisneros, 14, from Bakersfield, was the lucky winner of the Raul Corona gown and Jasmine Cazares, 13, from Bakersfield, was awarded the Moda 2000 dress.

The event was also a great success for the business owners in attendance, such as Evelia Gonzalez of Creaciones Eve, a Quinceañera dress retailer in the city of Bakersfield. “In comparison to the other Quinceañera expos in which I have participated, this was the most elegant and best organized,” she stated. “I am definitely looking forward to participate in future Quinceanera.com Expo’s as well.”
