Nonprofit Quinceanera Celebration

The multimedia company, Quinceanera.com, and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services unite in a celebration attended by Chiquis Rivera and a special performance by Villa 5

March 12, 2016 – Los Angeles, CA – For many young Latinas, their biggest dream is to celebrate their 15th birthday with a big party. This year on March 12, eight Latina teenagers in foster care will have their dream come true at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes in Los Angeles.
Thanks to the generous support of over 40 business donors, the girls will receive an exceptional treatment since early Saturday morning. Famous stylist Tony Ynot and his team will be in charge of doing their hair and makeup for the occasion, while Quique Usales, celebrity stylist for Telemundo Al Rojo Vivo, will provide the quinceañeras with a full makeover as well as beauty tips before and during the event. In addition, the girls will wear the latest trends in dresses, shoes, and accessories for Quinceañeras from Luna’s Dresses by Lucy Luna.

Then, the great celebration organized by Quinceanera.com and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) will take place, an event that also aims to raise awareness in the community about the amount of children and teenagers who need to be adopted permanently.
“Currently there are more than 18,000 children in Los Angeles County living in foster care, of which 60 percent are Latino. Events like this help us recognize these wonderful young women and, hopefully, help them understand how special they are. I thank all the foster parents who are giving these young women a loving home and also all of our DCFS social workers and staff who work so hard for our children,” said Philip L. Browning, Director of the DCFS.

The party, which will include the typical waltz, a banquet, a photo shoot, lots of gifts, and a huge cake, will have the presence of Chiquis Rivera, American singer, television personality and eldest daughter of legendary Jenni Rivera, whom will do a special toss and will give an inspiring message to the girls. Entertainment will be provided by a DJ from KIIS FM and the band Villa 5, a quintet considered one the most original promises of new Mexican Regional genre.

The charismatic touch of the ceremony, which it will last until 6 pm, will be in hands of the masters of ceremonies: Freddy Rivera, of KIIS FM, and the popular radio personality and co-host of Telemundo Acceso Total, Stephanie Himonidis, better known as “Chiquibaby”. Both will entertain more than 300 guests and introduce influential personalities including Kimberly Ortega, Board Deputy of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for the First District representing Hilda Solis, Christine Devine, news anchor of the “Wednesday Child” segment of FOX 11 News, and Mexican actor Fernando Noriega.
