Combining their efforts, El Clasificado and Empleos Latino, which were founded with the goal of helping to build thriving Latino communities, are working with the leading community college in Walnut, CA to help Angelinos connect with companies looking to hire as well as resources to help expand their capabilities through everything from Adult Education to credited classes.
(Los Angeles March 2, 2023) — Following their first ever in-person job fair, El Clasificado and Empleos Latino are set to host their follow-up with Mt. SAC on May 4th, 2023 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. With over 500 attendees at the first in-person job fair, the companies combined were able to help over 100 attendees secure employment within a month of the event and more than 100 attendees sign up for courses to improve their potential job opportunities in the future.
“We’re extremely excited to be able to bring back the in-person job fairs to the greater Los Angeles area, especially following the success of the previous one,” said Frank Zepeda, Director of Marketing for El Clasificado. “When the pandemic hit, so many companies had to close down, and we started virtual job fairs to help ensure that the communities that support us, and that we support as well, could still continue to thrive. Finally being able to move those events to in-person really turned an edge with some job seekers actually getting same-day interviews and hired on the spot. We’re expecting similar outcomes for our upcoming in-person job fair so May the Fourth, be with us!”
Attendees at the Walnut job fair can expect to find dozens of companies looking to hire from within the Hispanic community for roles ranging across different career paths. From warehouse work to office jobs as well as entry-level to management opportunities.
In addition, attendees will also receive information regarding different resources that can provide them with further education to help open other employment opportunities in the future. “We’re proud to partner with El Clasificado and Empleos Latino with this job fair.
