Los Angeles, CA- June 5, 2012- Business plans are still the foundation for any entrepreneur looking to launch a company. This was the overall message well received by the over 100 entrepreneurs at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA). The event attracted entrepreneurs from throughout the city of Los Angeles as part of the Business Expo organized by Su Socio de Negocios in Southern California on May 30th.
Small business entrepreneur Carlos Mendoza of Ideal Optical commented that “The presentation covered several key points on how to better your business. We tend to forget things and it is good to have someone to make us remember”.
The event included a workshop by the Small Business Development Center which dealt with the importance of having a business plan. The highlight of the event was the presentation by La Curacao’s Ruth Garcia who spoke about the importance of the “four D’s for every business owner; Desire, Discipline, Determination and Direction.
Ruth’s presentation was followed by an inspiration speech form Jerry Azarkman from La Curacao. Jerry shared how he got his start as a salesman with $20 and built an empire that now drives over $200 million in revenues.
“I knocked on many doors until I reached my goal”, said the man who shared the key to success. “Believing anything is possible it is just a matter of setting a goal in life to achieve it”.
The event, broadcasted by Univision’s 11pm news, took place at the prestigious MOLAA in Long Beach and was sponsored by Chivas Regal, a legendary beverage enjoyed by the attendees. The next Su Socio de Negocios event will take place on June 20th at the same place.
