Los Angeles, CA – April 23, 2008 – Hundreds of quinceañeras and their families swarmed the Industry Hills Expo Center on Sunday, April 13 for El Clasificado’s third “Quinceañera Expo and Fashion Show.” The event, which serves as a platform to connect Hispanic consumers with a wide array of party planners and vendors, was El Clasificado’s first of two quinceañera expos for the 2008 calendar year.

The elaborate quinceañera (fifteenth birthday) celebration, which marks the passage of a young Latina to womanhood, requires months of intense planning and typically comes with a price tag of $20,000 or more. El Clasificado created the “Quinceañera Expo and Fashion Show” in 2006 to help families find many of the services they need in one convenient location and with reduced price packages readily available.

“Having so many options to choose from makes me feel confident that I will find just what I need,” exclaimed Virginia Vargas from City of Industry, CA. She was one of the hundreds of parents who have been shopping around for months in search of the best deals for her daughter’s celebration. “It is comforting to be able to compare so many different rates in one place.”

The 2008 “Quinceañera Expo and Fashion Show” featured a 14-piece fashion show presented by Paloma’s Collection, two surprise dance performances choreographed by Eduardo Gonzalez of Dance Evolution, a live spa and facial demonstration by Luzzia Beauty & Spa, and 40 exhibitors including Payless, Friar’s Tux Shop, and See’s Candy, as well as local community clients.

El Clasificado also distributed its second “Quinceañera.com” special supplement, which coincided with the date of the Expo. The cover models for the guide, twin sisters Stacie and Stephanie Cardenas of Montclair, CA, were chosen as contest winners of the “Quinceañera.com 2008 Face of the Year” contest sponsored by El Clasificado. This guide as well as the official event website, www.quinceanera.com, provides young girls with tips to help them prepare for the big day.

Due to popular demand, a second “Quinceañera Expo and Fashion Show” and its corresponding print supplement will be presented by El Clasificado on October 19, 2008 in Commerce, CA. Moving forward, the organization plans to organize this expo at least twice a year.
