Los Angeles, July 1, 2013.
The Quinceañera craze for everything related to this celebration is still going strong. What better proof than the 1,100 people who stopped by the Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show in Orange County that took place on Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort. The event is the fourth of its kind taken place in 2013 (following San Fernando, Bakersfield, and Los Angeles) as a way to service the Latino community in Southern California in their search to give their own Quinceañeras the best celebration possible.

In addition to a long list of exhibitors, including limousine services, banquet services, reception halls, DJs, hair salons, and dress suits for chambelanes, attendees were able to witness an incredible fashion show created by the latest trends brought by Mitzy, Raúl Corona, Moda 2000, and Angelina’s Secret Bridal, with their voluminous skirts, bright colors, and bold designs.

Gina Rodriguez, founder and owner of Moda 2000, celebrated the event together with Latino families in Orange County, an event which she considers very important to a business like hers. “This is where we find our clients and are able to interact with them, something that is vital to our company,” she explains.

In her opinion, “when it comes to party services, Quinceañeras are the primary clients, much more than weddings and first communions, since every girl dreams of becoming a princess for a day. And any dad sees his daughter like a queen in that special day.”

Rodriguez admits that “in the beginning I thought that families would overspend, but after celebrating my own daughter’s party I realized that you never regret doing so. It’s a sacrifice that turns into a precious memory.”

This is a belief shared by Flor and her daughter, Alexis, who still has two years to plan her big celebration, but wants everything to be perfect. “We will plan everything using a 50’s theme, which is what she wants,” says the mother in excitement.

Maria Dueñas, representative from Five Star Limousine, explains that “this type of event is what I’m looking for. You want people to see your product and have direct contact with your clients. This is of great value because you can provide them with different options.”

The Quinceañera Expo was not only successful in public attendance but in generating social media hype as well, with almost 300 Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram posts created by all the Quinceañeras who attended the fashion show and expo.

El Clasificado, La Curacao, Nikon, Moda 2000, Raul Corona, Angelina, Mitzy sponsored this event. The next Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show is set for September 22, 2013 at the Convention Center in Ontario, CA. RSVP Here.
