A total of $10,000 in prizes were given including Quinceanera dresses, an iPad and an entire Quinceañera celebration.

Los Angeles, CA – March 15, 2012– Over 40 exhibitors offering diverse products and services were flocked by enthusiastic girls and families looking for the best products such as dresses, invitations and cakes at the most recent Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show, held on March 11th at the Sportsmen’s Lodge Events Center in Studio City.

Hispanic Media Company El Clasificado has presented the popular expo for Quinceañeras as a free event since 2006, providing great success to both exhibitors and its thousands of attendees. This was the case for Silvia Vazquez and Mónica Velázquez, owners of Bella Bella Boutique, a dress and accesories retailer located in Los Angeles, who were taken back by the heavy foot traffic found at the Expo. “We are impressed by the amount of people approaching our booth. It is our first time participating in the Expo, but we definitely want to be part of the upcoming Expos that are taking place in different cities around the year.”

For Jasmine Retama of Whittier, the Expo offered many ideas for venues, invitations and dresses. “I am turning 15 next year and need to start planning my celebration. I found a lot of pretty things and am definitely going to tell my friends to come to this great event.”

The Expo also presented its popular fashion show, which was set in motion by Moda 2000, a Quince dress and accessories boutique located in Anaheim, with bountiful dress options for the future Quinceañeras. Raul Corona, a Mexican designer based in Ontario, presented an “Under the Sea” inspired collection in deep blue, lavender, coral, and green hues. “I understand that the dress is very important for Quince girls and I am so happy to be part of that dream. I am excited about the amount of appointments with families wanting me to create the dress for their Quinceañera.” Due to his great success amongst Latina teens, Corona will participate in all of the Quinceanera.com Expo’s of 2012.

Another highlight of the event was the presentation of Quinceanera.com Magazine’s San Fernando Valley Cover Girl winner: Claudia Avila of Paramount, who took advantage of her stage time to motivate the young Latinas to enter one of the five other cover girl contests presented by Quinceanera.com this year. Currently, the magazine’s Bakersfield Cover Girl contest is live on Quinceanera.com where the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite finalist from now until Friday, March 16, 2012 12:00p.m. PST.

In high energy, the event concluded with amazing prizes, among them a party package valued at $7,000, two Quinceañera dresses, and an iPad courtesy of Quinceanera.com and El Clasificado. Future Quinceañera Kimberly Soto was awarded a Raul Corona design, Adriana De Santiago was the lucky winner of a Moda 2000 gown, and Jennifer Mayorga went home with the iPad.

The next Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show will take place on April 1st at the Bakersfield Marriott Hotel, marking the Expo’s debut in the Central Valley area.
