The pandemic has spoiled many plans, including parties and gatherings, something so typical among the Hispanic community. But that has not been an impediment for Quinceanera.com and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services to come together to sponsor a Quinceañera for 6 girls from the foster care system. It will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at the Castaic Sports Complex in Castaic, California.

The celebration will be different due to Covid-19. But the girls will have their dress, a cake, food, music and gifts from all the sponsoring companies, who have once again joined forces to give these girls the joy of having a full-fledged Quinceañera. Instead of the traditional dance, a parade is planned by family members and guests who, without leaving their cars, will be able to see and congratulate the Quinceañeras.

This will be the sixth annual edition of this event, created to raise awareness of the need for foster and adoptive parents for children in need. The event is sponsored by Quinceanera.com and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, along with generous contributions from over 25 sponsors, including Luna’s Dresses, Dee Lee Designs, Babydoll Events, Portofino International Party Supplies, Nisie Enchanted, Marissa’s Cake, Porto’s, and many more.

This year, Telemundo will the official media sponsor. “We are proud to help these girls in the foster care system and give them their Quinceañera party, especially in these difficult times due to the pandemic,” said Martha de la Torre, co-founder of El Clasificado and owner of the Quinceanera.com brand. “We hope your dreams come true that day.”
