El Clasificado Announces 3 More Virtual Job Fairs for 2021 After Resounding Success

By June 1, 2021July 6th, 2021Company News

After conducting two virtual job fairs with over 1,000 combined registrants, El Clasificado is launching 3 more for 2021 – in Los Angeles and Houston.

Since 1988, El Clasificado and its job board EmpleosLatino.com have both put Latino employment at the forefront of their missions. For the past year, amidst an economic downturn and a global pandemic, both organizations have prioritized a simple, but inspiring message – help more Latinos get back to work.

In October 2020, El Clasificado launched its first ever job and career fair – entirely online and entirely in Spanish. With over 500 registered attendees and nearly 20 live workshops, the job fair was a hit for Latinos looking to find a job or grow in their current job.

5 months later, El Clasificado hosted “Feria de Trabajo” another virtual, Spanish job and career fair with tremendous success. The April event welcomed over 1,300 job-seekers and professionals to live workshops relating to career building. The virtual booths for employers were flooded with over 10,000 visits as well.

With such an incredible turnout from job-seekers and employers, El Clasificado knew this initiative was worth replicating as much as possible in 2021 all across the country. Although the majority of El Clasificado’s community resides in Southern California, Texas has the second-largest Latino population in the country and Latinos make up 35% of the workforce in the Houston metro-area.

“The Houston metro-area is the 4th largest market for elclasificado.com and empleoslatino.com with over 6,000 job opportunities for Spanish speakers. We have been serving our California community since the 80s, but with so many new virtual options, we are thrilled to be able to grow our reach in Texas and ensure Latinos are communicating with recruiters and making valuable connections,” El Clasificado CEO Martha de la Torre said.

Together, El Clasificado and EmpleosLatino form an incredibly strong avenue for job seekers. While El Clasificado focuses more on getting people employed in blue-collar jobs, EmpleosLatino continues moving into the white-collar space. This duality provides the ultimate career-searching experience for attendees – allowing them to find opportunities in any desired industry.

El Clasificado and EmpleosLatino have scheduled 3 more virtual job fairs for this year:

  • Los Angeles, CA – July 22, 2021
  • Houston, TX – August 26, 2021
