El Clasificado is an ICIC Inner City 100 Winner again!

The Southern California’s multimedia powerhouse has earned a place among the 100 fastest-growing inner city firms in the United States, selected by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City for an impressive fifth time!

“This year we have the special recognition of being inducted into the ICIC Hall of Fame, only 43 businesses out of the 657 winners over the year are part of this elite group. Thank you all for your contribution in making El Clasificado a winner”, noted Martha de la Torre, CEO and founder of El Clasificado, after receiving the confirmation letter from the prestigious organization.

The Inner City 100 program recognizes successful inner city companies and their CEOs as role models for entrepreneurship, innovative business practices, and job creation in America’s urban communities. Previously, El Clasificado has earned this recognition in 2004, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

In addition to making the list, El Clasificado will also be inducted into the Inner City 100 Hall of Fame for appearing on the Inner City 100 list for an impressive fifth time. This is quite an honor as only 43 companies out of 657 unique Inner City 100 winners have achieved this distinction.

This year’s Inner City 100 winners were chosen from thousands of nominees, and El Clasificado is among the leaders in this distinguished group. El Clasificado will be highlighted as this year’s ICIC’s national media partner in the month of May as a propeller for growth in USA’s urban communities.

Inner City Annual Summit

The 2011 Inner City 100 Summit and Awards Gala will be held on May 9-10th in Boston. The Summit will include a day of executive education and case studies with professors at Harvard Business School, a procurement workshop and networking event (with opportunities to interact with procurement professionals from leading Fortune 100 companies), and a luncheon keynote by ICIC Chairman and Founder Dr. Michael E. Porter.

ICIC’s mission is to promote economic prosperity in America’s inner cities through private sector engagement that leads to job opportunities, income, and wealth creation for local residents. ICIC brings together business and civic leaders to drive innovation and action; transform thinking, and accelerate inner city business growth. In this year’s keynote speech, Porter, is expected to present his most recent article published in the January 2011 Harvard Business Review, entitled “Creating Shared Value.”

The two-day Summit will culminate in the Inner City 100 Awards Gala at which the rankings of all of the winners will be revealed for the first time, and all of the winners will be recognized for their accomplishments over the last five years.

The Inner City 100 list provides unmatched original data on the fastest growing inner-city businesses in the U.S. In the last 12 years, 607 different companies have earned positions on the Inner City 100, collectively generating more than $27.2 billion in revenues and creating nearly 72,000 new jobs.

The Inner City 100 program conducts an extensive annual survey of winning companies on a variety of topics ranging from workforce and capital issues to key customers and business strategy.
