Los Angeles, CA – October 3, 2012- Quinceañera service providers were flocked by enthusiastic girls and families looking for the best products such as dresses, invitations and cakes at the most recent Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show, held on September 30, 2012 at the Ontario Convention Center. The event, which has been presented by Hispanic Media Company El Clasificado since 2006, serves convenient for both attendees and exhibitors, offering a space to shop numerous businesses, and where party professionals can take advantage of direct consumer traffic.

This was the case for Robert Price, District Manager for Michael’s, who felt the event was successful for the arts and crafts retail chain. “We had lots of guests visit our booth that ask lots of questions and take pictures of our displays. We were also able to talk about all of our class programs—especially our cake decorating class,” he said, adding that the event was a great platform to introduce Michael’s products to young Latinas. “I would love to take part in the event again especially since I know what the competition is!”

Alexis Garcia, 14, from the city of South Gate, California, traveled to the Expo accompanied by her mom in search of last minute details for her 2013 celebration. “I just need to find invitations and get cake ideas,” stated Alexis. “Luckily I found the invitations here and saw a huge cake shaped in a castle that’ll be perfect for my Quince. I just need to convince my mom!”

In addition to opportunities to meet vendors, guests were treated to a fashion show presented by designer Raul Corona and Moda 2000. The latest showcase highlighted by the Mexican designer was a “Princess” collection that followed a pink, white and ivory color palette. His showcase was amplified by a live rendition of “My Heart Will Go” as sung by emerging talent Melissa Samaniego. Corona also presented his “Phantom of the Opera” collection, which debuted at the 2012 Los Angeles Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show.

Moda 2000, on the other hand, presented a two-part collection of colorful gowns and dresses for Quinceañeras and her damas. The Quince dress and accessories boutique also presented alternative ideas for a traditional tiara in the form of hats, headbands and floral pieces. Both Raul Corona and Moda 2000 have been exclusive fashion show partners of the Expo throughout 2012.

Another highlight of the event was the presentation of Quinceanera.com Magazine’s 2012 Ontario Cover Girl winner: Stephanie Guzman of Long Beach, CA. “The entire contest process has been amazing,” Guzman commented during her onstage presentation. “I never thought I would be here today much less be on the cover of a magazine. This is the greatest thing to have ever happened to me!”

In high energy, the event concluded with amazing prizes, among them a $1,000 college scholarship presented by ScholarShare, which went to Ashley Sanchez, 14, from Chino, CA. Future Quinceañera Casey Navarro from Riverside, California was the winner of the Raul Corona dress, and Rebecca Navarro , from Chino, CA, won the dress gifted by Moda 2000. Both dresses were valued at $1,000. An iPad courtesy of presenting sponsor El Clasificado was awarded to Monica Garcia of Chino, CA.

The event was sponsored by Curacao, The Men’s Warehouse, Raul Corona, Moda 2000, BTB Events, Max Pro Elegance, Luna’s Bridal, Michael’s and Pachanga Resort & Casino.

Closing the 2012 calendar year of the traveling Quinceañera expos is the 2012 San Diego Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show that will take place on October 14 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel San Diego. This year, the event traveled to San Fernando Valley, Bakersfield, Los Angeles and Ontario, respectively.
