The largest Spanish-language classified online marketplace in the US receives 15 AFCP awards at the event, including first place recognition in four categories

Another year has passed, and, based on awards, El Clasificado is doing better than ever. With a total of 15 awards, including first place for Best Presentation of Classified Advertising on the Internet, El Clasificado won big again at the latest Association of Free Community Papers event that took place in Baltimore, Maryland, from May 2nd to the 5th.

The awards are a reflection of El Clasificado’s leadership, in print and digital media over its 30 year history as the company took home a first place for the Best Use of Social Media and Best Digital or Web Innovation, a sign of its commitment with the digital world, with over 30 million page visits per month to our website, Elclasificado.com.

“These awards represent our hard and dedicated work to ensure that we provide our readers and visitors with content they want and need,” said Martha de la Torre, cofounder of El Clasificado. “Being able to keep our print and grow our digital marketplace is a tremendous source of pride. When we first started we wanted to help empower Hispanics in Los Angeles. Now, we also empower Hispanics worldwide and the businesses looking to reach them through our website, elclasificado.com, that generates over 30 million page views monthly, and is localized in all major Latino cities in the United States and Latin America, making it one of the most visited portals for Hispanics worldwide.”

El Clasificado also took home awards like Best Original Illustration of Digital Art for the creative talents of Favian Arevalo, Self Promotion Other Media, Best Front Page and Best Sales presentation.

The largest Spanish-language classified publication in the United States was also honored with a second place as best Classified Layout, Self Promotion Website, General Excellence Weekly Publications and Best Community Service. This last award recognized our efforts in organizing a Quinceañera party for 8 girls in foster care, an event the company will host again this year on July 22.
