El Clasificado Participates in 68th Annual Downey Christmas Parade

NORWALK, Calif.—December 17, 2019

El Clasificado, the largest Spanish classifieds platform both online and in print circulation, recently participated in the 68th annual Downey Christmas Parade on December 1st.

Tom Lockyer, Senior Manager of Human Resources, and Jacquelinne Mejia, Content Marketing and Business Development Manager, were the parade announcers and introduced close to 100 parade participants including bands, scout troops, cars, floats, and Santa with Mrs. Claus.

This was El Clasificado’s first time participating in the Downey Christmas Parade.

“I was so happy to have had the opportunity to host the 68th Annual Parade with Jackie Mejia,” Lockyer said. “It was a beautiful event and I was especially impressed by the community’s pride in their great city,” he added.

El Clasificado employees Lourdes Aguirre and Luis Garcia carried a banner displaying the company’s logo.

The festivities started off with a lively second line band traditionally used in New Orleans, sponsored by parade sponsor Financial Partners Credit Union.

The parade is presented each year by the Downey Chamber of Commerce.

El Clasificado has participated in a variety of holiday events this year including Al Borde’s annual Día de los Muertos event and Hispanic Heritage Month.
